The group served several industries in various capacities from new product identification through process development to process intensification. CenSci is actively involved in the development of niche products in dyes, pigments and specialty intermediates since a decade. It integrates new techniques with novel engineering aspects to reduce the cost and increase the quality and capacity.

Recently, CenSci is ventured into the extraction and preservation of natural food/cosmetic colours using supercritical fluid extraction and formulation of essential oil blends for antimicrobial applications.

Fluorescent Dyes

Censci is actively engaged in the development of various fluorescent colours in coumarin, rhodamine, xanthene, thioxanthene, Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP), naphthalimide, perylene etc series, which can be used as Laser dyes, Dyes for Security applications, Indicator dyes, Polymeric dyes and Dyes for Day Light Fluorescent Pigments.

High Performance Pigments

Censci has developed a new technology in diazo-coupling process. This will enable to reduce the pigment primary particle size to near nano size. This can be formulated into fibre grade pigments. Censci is having expertise in latent pigment technology and is using this technique for particle size reduction in heterocyclic or high molecular weight pigments.

Intermediates / Precursors

Censci is highly capable of developing intermediates / precursors with various processes such as nitration, sulfonation, reduction, halogenation, reactions using phosphorus trichloride, phosphorus penta chloride, thionyl chloride etc.

Natural dyes

Censci is experienced in the stabilization of natural food colours for various applications. Censci is having some stable red and yellow colour to offer.

High vacuum distillation

Censci is having active partners for high vacuum distillation. The material can be distilled up to 0.1Torr vacuum. Censci has developed proprietary methods for the increase in yields by incorporating proper additives during distillation.

Supercritical fluid extraction

Censci is partnered with its associate for super critical fluid extraction and developed novel techniques for the extraction of highly sensitive materials which is used in foods and pharmaceutical applications.
